Turkey Burger Chili

A hearty and flavorful chili made with lean turkey burger, packed with vegetables and spices, perfect for a comforting and healthy meal.

  • 1 lb ground turkey burger
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and bell pepper; sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground turkey to the skillet; cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; cook for 1 minute to toast the spices.
  6. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, and chicken broth; stir well to combine.
  7. Bring the chili to a simmer, reduce heat to low, and cook uncovered for 20 minutes until thickened.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed; serve hot.

Notes

For extra depth of flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar or a pinch of cocoa powder during simmering. Serve with shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream if desired.
