Stuffed Mushrooms

Delicious baked stuffed mushrooms filled with a savory blend of cheese, herbs, and breadcrumbs, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 20 large white mushrooms, stems removed
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove stems from mushrooms and finely chop stems.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; sauté chopped mushroom stems and garlic until softened.
  4. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, sautéed mushroom stems and garlic, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon the filling into mushroom caps and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until mushrooms are tender and filling is golden on top.
  7. Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling or top with a sprinkle of smoked paprika before baking.
