Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce

A succulent steak served with a rich and velvety garlic cream sauce, perfect for a indulgent dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 8 oz each)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to your preferred doneness. Remove steaks and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese and thyme leaves (if using), stirring continuously until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return steaks to the skillet and spoon the garlic cream sauce over them to coat.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra touch, serve with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious garlic cream sauce.
