Spicy Jalapeño Popper Cheese Ball Appetizer

This Spicy Jalapeño Popper Cheese Ball is the perfect appetizer for any party! Creamy, cheesy, and with a spicy kick, it’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers or pretzel crumbs

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese and cheddar cheese until smooth and well combined.
  2. Add the bacon, jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper to the cheese mixture. Mix well to combine.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Place the crushed Ritz crackers or pretzel crumbs on a plate.
  5. Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator and form it into a ball.
  6. Roll the cheese ball in the cracker or pretzel crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  7. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  8. Serve with crackers, vegetables, or pretzels.

Notes

For a milder flavor, remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeños before chopping. You can also substitute the Ritz crackers with chopped pecans or walnuts for a different texture and flavor.
