These Spicy Dry Rub Wings feature a flavorful, fiery coating that delivers a perfect balance of heat and savory spices, making them an irresistible appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss well to evenly coat wings with oil and spices.
  5. Arrange the wings on the wire rack in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until wings are crispy and cooked through.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, pat wings dry thoroughly before seasoning and consider broiling for 2-3 minutes at the end of baking.
