  • 8 cups apple cider
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (optional)
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole allspice

Instructions

  1. Pour the apple cider into a large pot or slow cooker.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, orange slices, ginger, and allspice to the cider.
