This Sour Cream and Onion Chicken is a flavorful and easy weeknight dinner. The creamy sour cream sauce combined with onion soup mix creates a delicious crust that keeps the chicken moist and tender.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the dry onion soup mix and sour cream.
  3. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over each chicken breast.
  5. Place chicken in a baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or with a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal. For extra flavor, sprinkle some fresh parsley on top before serving.
