Slow Cooker Goulash

This Slow Cooker Goulash is a comforting and hearty dish featuring tender beef, tender pasta, and savory tomato sauce, perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic until beef is browned and onions are tender; drain excess fat.
  2. Transfer beef mixture to slow cooker; stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes (with juice), beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours or on high for 2.5 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in uncooked elbow macaroni, cover, and cook on high until pasta is tender.
  5. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted, then serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with fresh parsley or serve with a side of garlic bread.
