Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Pour white wine into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the sauce. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat.
  6. Add cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing everything together to combine well.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot, optionally topped with Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, stir in 1/4 cup heavy cream at the end of cooking. Serve with a side of crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
