This easy Pumpkin Dump Cake is a simple and delicious fall dessert. It combines pumpkin puree, spice cake mix, and melted butter for a moist and flavorful treat that’s ready in under an hour!

  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) box spice cake mix
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.
  3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry spice cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture.
  5. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Try to cover as much of the dry mix as possible.
  6. If desired, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
