Pistachio Lush Dessert

A rich and creamy layered pistachio dessert combining a buttery crust, pistachio pudding, and whipped cream for an indulgent treat perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant pistachio pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip), divided
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and half the chopped pistachios. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×9-inch pan. Bake for 8 minutes, then cool.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together instant pistachio pudding mix and cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes).
  3. Stir sour cream, half the whipped topping, sugar, and vanilla extract into the pudding mixture until smooth.
  4. Spread the pistachio pudding layer evenly over the cooled crust.
  5. Top pudding layer with remaining whipped topping. Sprinkle with remaining chopped pistachios.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving for best texture.

Notes

For extra crunch, toast the pistachios lightly before adding to the dessert. Serve chilled with a sprinkle of crushed pistachios on top.
