Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining 1 tbsp vegetable oil and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.
  6. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with broccoli, then pour the honey garlic sauce over the mixture.
  7. Stir well and cook for 2 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken.
  8. Pour in cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli evenly.
  9. Sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes if using, stir and cook for another minute.
  10. Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

Notes
