Ground Beef Noodle Casserole

A hearty and comforting casserole featuring tender ground beef, noodles, and a creamy cheese sauce baked to perfection. Perfect for a family-friendly dinner that’s both satisfying and easy to prepare.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well and heat through.
  6. Remove from heat and fold in cooked noodles and 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese and Parmesan on top.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a handful of chopped fresh parsley or substitute cream of mushroom soup with cream of celery soup. Serve with a crisp green salad for a balanced meal.
