Bright green, festive Grinch Crinkle Cookies feature a tender, chewy texture with a sweet vanilla flavor and a snowy powdered sugar coating, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring (gel or liquid), about 1–2 teaspoons
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until creamy and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Add green food coloring a little at a time, mixing until the dough reaches a bright green color.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in powdered sugar until well coated.
  8. Place on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart and bake for 10–12 minutes, until cookies crackle on top but remain soft inside.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For extra festive flair, press a small red candy into the center of each cookie before baking to resemble the Grinch’s heart.
