Delicious Fried Brie Bites on a Rustic Wooden Board

These golden-brown Fried Brie Bites are a delectable appetizer, featuring creamy brie cheese encased in a crispy coating. Perfect for parties or a simple indulgence, they’re quick, easy, and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Honey or jam, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the brie cubes in the freezer for 30 minutes to firm up.
  2. In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour, beaten eggs, and panko bread crumbs seasoned with salt and pepper.
  3. Remove the brie from the freezer. Dredge each cube in the flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with the panko bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Carefully drop the breaded brie cubes into the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Fry for 15-20 seconds per side, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove the fried brie bites with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve immediately with honey or jam, if desired.

Notes

Serve the fried brie bites immediately while they are still warm and gooey. A drizzle of honey or a dollop of fruit jam complements the richness of the cheese perfectly.
