  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • 2 packages ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add chicken broth, milk or cream, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Break ramen noodles into the skillet and cook according to package instructions, usually 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Slice cooked chicken breasts and return to the skillet along with mushrooms if using. Heat through for 2 minutes.
  6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Ladle the ramen into bowls, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra richness, stir in a spoonful of cream cheese or top with a soft-boiled egg before serving.
