creamy beef pasta

This creamy beef pasta combines tender ground beef with a rich, velvety sauce and perfectly cooked pasta for a comforting and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it reduce slightly for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Lower heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the creamy beef sauce, mixing well to coat evenly.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while cooking the beef, or serve with garlic bread on the side.
