Cranberry Salsa

This festive cranberry salsa is a sweet and tangy appetizer perfect for the holidays. Serve it with tortilla chips or as a vibrant topping for grilled chicken or fish.

  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the cranberries until coarsely chopped.
  2. Transfer the cranberries to a medium bowl.
  3. Add the red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño to the bowl.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, sugar, and salt.
  5. Pour the dressing over the cranberry mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve chilled with tortilla chips or your favorite grilled protein.

Notes

For a spicier salsa, leave the seeds in the jalapeño. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat.
