This classic cheese ball is the perfect appetizer for any party! Creamy, cheesy, and coated in crunchy pecans, it’s always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. Add the cheddar cheese, blue cheese, pecans, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Shape the cheese mixture into a ball.
  6. In a shallow dish, spread out the remaining chopped pecans.
  7. Roll the cheese ball in the pecans, pressing gently to adhere.
  8. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve with crackers or your favorite dippers.

Notes

For a festive presentation, roll the cheese ball in a mixture of chopped pecans and dried cranberries.
