This Christmas Morning Quiche is a festive and savory baked delight, perfect for a holiday breakfast or brunch with a flaky crust and a creamy egg filling packed with cheese and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the refrigerated pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it firmly against the bottom and sides. Trim any excess dough.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.
  4. Sprinkle the cooked sausage, bell peppers, green onions, and cheddar cheese evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the fillings in the crust.
  6. Bake the quiche in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
  7. Remove from oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit the sausage and add sautéed mushrooms or spinach. Serve with a fresh fruit salad for a complete holiday breakfast.
