Chicken Kofta Meatballs

Delicious and aromatic Chicken Kofta Meatballs are spiced ground chicken balls perfect for an easy dinner or appetizer, bursting with Middle Eastern flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add beaten egg and breadcrumbs to the mixture and mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the meatballs in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Remove meatballs from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or flatbread.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with a side of tzatziki or a fresh cucumber yogurt dip. You can also bake the meatballs at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes as a healthier alternative.
