This cheeseburger baked recipe is a comforting twist on a classic favorite, combining juicy beef, melted cheese, and savory toppings all baked to perfection. Ideal for a quick and satisfying dinner.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1/4 cup pickles, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in ketchup, mustard, and pickles; cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Place the bottom halves of the buns in a baking dish and spoon the beef mixture evenly over them.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef mixture.
  7. Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted.
  9. Remove from oven and add optional lettuce and tomato slices before serving.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, try adding a slice of cooked bacon or a dash of smoked paprika to the beef mixture before baking.
