Cajun Shrimp and Salmon with Garlic Cream Sauce

A flavorful Cajun-seasoned shrimp and salmon dish served with a rich and creamy garlic sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz salmon fillet
  • 12 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon and shrimp dry, then season both with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside with salmon.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well, scraping any browned bits from the pan. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add lemon juice, then season sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Return the salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the garlic cream sauce over them to coat.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with steamed vegetables or over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes.
