A flavorful Cajun Chicken Pasta featuring tender chicken breast in a creamy, spicy sauce tossed with perfectly cooked pasta for a comforting and vibrant meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts evenly with Cajun seasoning.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and browned. Remove chicken from skillet and let rest.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter and sauté the garlic, red and green bell peppers until tender.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer, then add Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken into strips and return to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together to coat in the sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper as needed. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or serve with red pepper flakes on the side.
