This Butterscotch Heaven Pie features a creamy, rich butterscotch filling in a flaky pie crust, topped with whipped cream and butterscotch chips. It’s a decadent dessert that’s sure to impress!

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg yolks, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 1/4 cup butterscotch chips, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake pie crust according to package directions until golden brown. Let cool completely.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, milk, cornstarch, and salt.
  4. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
  5. Remove from heat. Gradually whisk in the beaten egg yolks.
  6. Return to heat and cook for 1 minute more, stirring constantly.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  8. Pour the butterscotch filling into the cooled pie crust.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  10. Before serving, top with whipped cream and butterscotch chips.

Notes

For an extra touch, drizzle melted butterscotch over the whipped cream before serving. You can also use a graham cracker crust for a different texture.
