Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 small flour tortillas (street taco size)
  • 6 slices American cheese, halved
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle slices, finely diced
  • Big Mac Sauce (see recipe below)

Big Mac Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Make the Big Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Stir well and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Burger Patties: Divide the ground beef into 6 equal portions (about 2.5 ounces each). Gently form each portion into a loose ball.
  3. Smash the Burgers: Heat a large cast-iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place the burger balls in the skillet, leaving space between each. Use a burger press or a sturdy spatula to smash each ball very thin. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the Burgers: Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until the edges are crispy and the burgers are cooked through.
  5. Melt the Cheese: During the last minute of cooking, place two halves of American cheese on each burger patty and let it melt.
  6. Assemble the Tacos: Warm the flour tortillas. Spread a generous amount of Big Mac sauce on each tortilla. Top with a cheeseburger patty, shredded lettuce, diced onion, and diced pickles.
  7. Serve: Fold the tortillas in half and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, toast the tortillas in a dry skillet before assembling the tacos. You can also add a sprinkle of sesame seeds to the sauce for a more authentic Big Mac flavor.
