Beef Noodle Casserole

This hearty Beef Noodle Casserole combines tender ground beef, savory tomato sauce, and tender noodles baked to perfection for a comforting family meal.

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and mix in sour cream.
  7. Combine beef mixture with cooked noodles, stirring gently to combine.
  8. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding sliced mushrooms or a dash of smoked paprika to the beef mixture before baking.
