Homemade Beef and Bowtie Pasta Dish

This hearty Beef and Bowtie Pasta is a comforting and flavorful meal. Tender beef is combined with bowtie pasta in a rich, savory sauce.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound bowtie pasta
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a splash of red wine to the sauce while simmering. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
