This Baked Jalapeno Chicken Dip is a creamy, spicy appetizer perfect for gatherings, combining shredded chicken with cheese and jalapenos for a flavorful kick.

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
  3. Add shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, chopped jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the dip is bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro, if desired.
  8. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For extra heat, leave some jalapeno seeds in the dip or add a dash of hot sauce. Serve with colorful tortilla chips for a festive presentation.
