A Refreshing Glass of Apple Cider Sangria

This Apple Cider Sangria is the perfect fall cocktail! Refreshing and festive, it’s great for parties or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup red wine (such as Merlot or Beaujolais)
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1 apple, cored and sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • Sparkling water or club soda, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine apple cider, red wine, brandy, and maple syrup. Stir well to combine.
  2. Add sliced apple, sliced orange, cinnamon sticks, and cranberries to the pitcher.
  3. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  4. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Before serving, stir the sangria and add ice to the pitcher.
  6. If desired, top each glass with sparkling water or club soda.
  7. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Garnish with extra apple slices, orange slices, and cranberries for a festive look. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the wine and brandy with sparkling apple cider and apple juice.
