These Apple Butter Brie Bites are a delightful combination of sweet and savory. Flaky puff pastry cups are filled with creamy brie cheese and a dollop of homemade or store-bought apple butter, creating a perfect appetizer or snack.

  • 1 sheet (14.1 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz Brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
  • 1/2 cup apple butter
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Optional: Chopped pecans or walnuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
  3. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Using a 2-inch cookie cutter or knife, cut out circles from the puff pastry.
  5. Gently press each circle into the mini muffin tin cups.
  6. Place a few cubes of Brie cheese into each puff pastry cup.
  7. Top each cup with a spoonful of apple butter.
  8. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Let cool slightly in the muffin tin before transferring to a serving platter.
  11. Optional: Garnish with chopped pecans or walnuts before serving.
